66 Block – a telephone wire terminal device that is used to join together several wire pairs.
Insulation Displacement Contact (IDC) - a type of wire terminating connection in which the insulating jacket is penetrated by the contact point.
Tip - a telephony term used to describe one of the two conductors (the first wire) in a cable pair used to provide telephone service. It is usually connected to the positive side of a battery at the central office and is grounded when the line is idle.
