When you\u2019ve finished the course, you will be able to share networking terms, identify network devices, and recognize network concepts.<\/p>\n<h3>Prerequisites<\/h3>\n<p>This course is an introduction to networking concepts and stands alone. it is intended for everyone and provides a foundation to learn networks and a basic understanding of networking and how networks are an integral part of everyday life.<\/p>\n<h3>Learning Objectives<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"cobj\">\n<li>Share the impact of the Internet and how networks enable the IoT, Internet of Things<\/li>\n<li>Define networking terms and speeds<\/li>\n<li>Explain data flow on a network and to the Internet<\/li>\n<li>List network components and identify their functions<\/li>\n<li>Identify cable types, ports, and connections<\/li>\n<li>Explain DHCP and static vs. dynamic addresses<\/li>\n<li>List software tools for use with IP addresses<\/li>\n<li>Identify basic actions to protect a network<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Learning Process and Evaluation<\/h3>\n<p>Each student receives a user name and password. This provides private, monitored access to the online course.<br \/>\nProgression through the course is managed by an <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/\/go.bluevolt.com\/bedrock\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LMS<\/a> (Learning Management System).<br \/>\nEach course is divided into 7 to 15 sections. At the end of each section the student is given a quiz. A score of 100% is needed to pass the quiz. Questions will be shown correct or incorrect; so the student can review the material and answer the questions again. There are unlimited attempts at each Quiz.<br \/>\nUpon completion of the course and quizzes, the student is required to take a Final Test. A score of at least 80% is considered a passing grade. A <i>Certificate of Completion<\/i> will be available to print when the Final Test is passed.<\/p>\n<p>This course is approved for <a href=\"\/\/www.bedrocklearning.com\/training\/earn-ceus\/\">Continuing Education<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"4%\"><\/td>\n<td class=\"courseoutline\" valign=\"top\" width=\"48%\">\n<h3>Course Outline<\/h3>\n<h4>1.
